Top Ten Books That Take Place In a Fantasy World

(These are really in no particular order)

#1. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling - you know it had to be on this list, I mean, who hasn't dreamt of going to Hogwarts? Or visiting Hagrid's cottage? Or having a butter-beer at Hogs-mead?

#2. The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien - I want Bilbo Baggins' house and I would love to visit the elves!!!

#3. The Lumatere Chronicles by Melina Marchetta - It sounds like it would be so nice to live in Lumatere (at least Lumatere the way it is in Froi of the Exiles or Quintana of Charyn), it sounds like such a nice place and it would be so much fun to visit the Monts on the mountain, or those of the Rock or the Flatlands.

#4. The Riftwar Saga by Raymond E. Feist - I've been reading this series since I was 12 and I just LOVE it (I've read about 13 of the novels and hope to finish the rest next year when I'm not so busy with school). I want to visit Krondor the most out of all the lands and meet Arutha and Jimmy the Hand.

#5. Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa - the Winter, Summer and Iron Court, I think yes, plus if Ash is around...

#6. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis - the attention to detail in regards to setting makes it feel as though you are there with the characters, battling your way through aswell...

#7. Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll - as a classic, it really sets the level as far as fantasy goes, the world of Wonderland is simply magical!!

#8. His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman - they lead us into a mystical and unbelievable world that is unlike any other and filled with imagination!

#9. The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff - so dark, edgy and dangerously creepy, the fae really aren't very sweet...

#10. Eragon by Christopher Paolini - just the level of detail, the dragons, mystery and everything, just too exciting while being realistic.
